First Thursdays

On the first Thursday morning of every month, we meet at 10.00 am, by Zoom. In the first 40 minute session, we discuss the day’s news, and then read a Bible passage, usually taken from the day’s Morning Prayer lectionary. After a 15 minute break, we return to our discussion, but asking if that reading helps us to look at the news in a fresh way. We end this second session with brief prayers, and conclude by 12 noon.
